Taking Care of Clients Equals Success in Reno Nevada

Jani-King-Reno-FranchiseNo strangers to hard work, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile in providing the best in customer service, Michael and Monica Scales are Crown Club winners.

The Scales were awarded a prestigious contract with the City of Sparks, NV, after Michael Scales, who frequents city hall often, noticed that there was an open bid to clean the building. Upon submitting that bid, Jani-King was selected as the new commercial cleaning service for the city.
Surrounded by several departments such as the police department, city maintenance, and the fire department, providing service at city hall has given the Scales the opportunity to network with city council members and the mayor, increasing exposure of his Jani-King franchise to key business influencers in Sparks. The Scales dream of business ownership in Reno with Jani-King began in April of 2007 when they purchased their franchise. But it was not the first time they had heard about Jani-King.
They had read about the Jani-King franchise opportunity several years before in Small Business Opportunity magazine. To start off, their employee base consisted of themselves, family members, and two additional employees. Over the years, their employee base has grown from six to thirty employees. There were several driving factors that pushed the Scales toward wanting to start their own Jani-King franchise. “One of the many reasons why we chose Jani-King is the guidance it offers,” said Mr. Scales. “Jani-King provides training on how to approach clients, placing a bid, and more. They help guide you in the right direction.” When it comes to clients and running a successful franchise, the Scales believe in respect. “If you treat your clients with respect, they will then treat and respect you,” said Mr. Scales. “A vision of wanting to be successful is very important too.
One has to have a vision, and then put it into effect. Learn how to study your customers and ask the right questions. All of that equals to running a successful business.” In a few years, Michael has his sights set on bigger opportunities. “I would like to run a regional office in the future,” said Scales. “Having your own franchise teaches you how to deal with people and the regional office helps to give guidance and a lot of insight to the commercial cleaning process. In the future, I would like to help those around me.”
