School Is In Session

Mobile, AL – Javon & Tachonda Smith, Jani-King
franchisees from Mobile, Alabama, purchased their franchise in
June of this year. They jumped right in, landing a contract for
the Lower Level School of UMS Wright Preparatory. Now, with just
a few months under their belt, the couple has hired more
employees and is looking forward to growing their business.

“As new franchise owners, obtaining this account was a big
responsibility,” said Smith. “Fortunately, we had a mutual
relationship with one of the contacts at the school, which made
it alot easier.”

The Smiths’ have wanted to own their own business for quite some
time, but they wanted to start on their terms and wait until the
time was right. “We had to wait three years before the dream came
true,” said Smith. “As we were saving for our investment many
issues would come up that would deter us from achieving the total
amount needed for the down payment of the franchise. We wanted to
wait until we had the full amount and not secure any type of
loan.”

Because they are new franchise owners, the Smith’s say they have
not had the opportunity to experience some of the benefits on
owning their own business. They see the potential for themselves
and their family. What they have been able to benefit from though
is the experience and support of Jani-King’s regional office.

“Having someone with the knowledge and expertise of the business
that can guide and assist you with the proposals gives you a
sense of relief,” said Smith. “This helps ease the process of
hiring and managing your accounts.”

When it comes to servicing accounts, Smith says it’s all about
meeting expectations.

“You have to clean to the expectation as if this was your
facility. We treat each client’s facility like it is our own
business, and maintain it in the same fashion we would our own
business. You also have to hire and train people to meet your
expectations and be willing to go above and beyond the job
description.”

“We are growing relationships with our clients and we want them
to know that our company is not just any cleaning business, but a
business with values, goals, loyalty and professionalism.”
