[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our success at Jani-King is based
on a highly interwoven group of players. Those who sell, sell;
those who clean, clean; those who process the paperwork, process
the paperwork… and so on. In the end, the customer doesn’t really
care who does what, or who misses a step, or who provides great
customer service-we either succeed as
Jani-King, or we fail as
Jani-King. But the most visible player at all times is you, the
franchise owner. The following thoughts are offered by Willie and
Sharon Brinson, two of the most successful franchise owner’s on
our team.
“Back in August, 2001, we made a life-changing decision. At the
time we really didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into,
but now almost 13 years later we know we made a great
decision.
We purchased an E4 plan, which has now grown into 24
accounts being serviced by our team of 10 employees and us.
Our franchise has meant financial stability for us. Our
recommendation to any franchise owner currently struggling would
be to take the time to get out there and sell yourself; check the
building next door, across the street, down the block…find
customers with several accounts and stay at it until you land one
of them…then show them they are doing themselves a favor by
having you service all of them. Hang in there; don’t give up. If
it was easy you wouldn’t have this opportunity, because someone
else would be doing it… but it takes tenacity and hard work, it’s
just sitting there waiting for you to seize it.
I choose to do much of that hard work myself. I strip and wax my
own floors, I am in as many of my accounts as is possible every
night; we made a choice to be completely dedicated to our work.
We are out there daily-coaching, hiring, training; we deliver
high quality service to our clients, which brings us referrals
and opens the door to other opportunities.
This franchise will be our retirement; we have no idea when that
will be, but we know the check will be bigger than the one our
‘Uncle Sam’ plans to give us. Everyone in town knows us,
especially Sharon. Her infectious smile and never ending sales
pitch land us several new accounts every year.
If you want to be successful, you have to give up something to
make the time to build your business. For those of you who are
struggling, you need to make a choice to succeed. It takes a lot
of hard work, a lot of all-nighters… but it pays off. Don’t give
up-give it the extra mile. You’ll make it.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
