Addison, TX – The Dallas Mavericks weren’t the only ones benefiting from their deep run and Championship win in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. With each game, Jani-King of Dallas gained additional exposure through its local partnership with the team. In fact, many Jani-King regional offices around the U.S. partner with sports teams in their market in an effort to build the Jani-King brand and give back to their local communities.

The relationship between Jani-King and the Dallas Mavericks stretches back more than eight years and was the first major team sports relationship for the Jani-King brand. A key element to the their relationship consists of outfitting the 60 to 70 kids who are responsible for many high profile tasks at American Airlines Center including mopping up the court surface during games. This not only gives Jani-King exposure at the games, but it rewards students who are putting forth extra effort in the classroom and on the court.

It is quite a privilege to be chosen for the Dallas Mavericks Ballkid program, which comes with some of the best seats in the house for all Dallas Mavericks home games. Each year, 48 Dallas Mavericks Ballkids are chosen from the approximately 2,000 Dallas Mavericks Hoop Camp participants. The Ballkids must be between the ages of 12 and 17, display a good work ethic, have good grades in school, and have a great attitude. The application process consists of the kids completing an application, writing an essay and furnishing their grades from the previous year. Earning good grades is an important evaluation criteria to make sure that the kids have a solid scholastic standing and therefore have the time required to do the Ballkid job properly, a job which takes about five hours on a typical game night.

The Ballkid program generates a significant amount of exposure for the Jani-King brand and places the company front and center with the people of the community they serve. In addition to the relationship with the Mavericks, Jani-King Dallas also cleans the Mavericks corporate offices, works with the Dallas Stars of the NHL, cleans Cowboys Stadium and other properties owned by the Dallas Cowboys and they participate in several local sports oriented charity events. Most recently, Jani-King Dallas participated in the Urban Hills Church 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, which is held in order to raise funds for TRAC (Transition Resource Action Center).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
