Jani-King International, Inc. president, Jerry Crawford, was featured in a live
interview segment with CNBC host Tyler Mathisen on Thursday, August 14th.
Crawford was asked to take part in a four to five minute satellite interview
with Mathisen stressing the success of Jani-King and the benefits of becoming a
Jani-King franchise owner.

Mathisen hosts a one-hour, daily news program on CNBC called Open Exchange.
This hard-hitting program offers viewers all they need to know from Wall Street,
Washington, and around the globe and features provocative discussion on the news
of the day with CNBC journalists and key news opinion-makers.

Crawford arrived at a Dallas broadcast production studio around 1:30pm for
the 1:45pm live interview with Mathisen who was at the CNBC studios in New York,
NY. Ten minutes later Crawford was seated in front of the camera and ready for
his national television appearance.

Throughout the interview, Crawford persuasively responded to questions
ranging from how much an initial investment in Jani-King might cost to what
advise he has for someone looking into buying a franchise.

Minutes after the interview with Crawford, Jani-King regional offices around
the country saw their phones light up. Mike Fruci, Regional Director, Jani-King
of Sacramento, had one potential franchise owner call the office and schedule a
disclosure meeting based solely on the interview. “He had never heard of us,”
said Fruci. “He was looking for a low-cost business opportunity and Jerry’s
interview built instant credibility in Jani-King for him.” Fruci also said that
another couple who had researched Jani-King in the past called to schedule a
disclosure meeting after watching the interview and have since went on to
complete an application to purchase a Jani-King franchise.

Gary Dick, Vice President of Jani-King Franchising, took advantage of
Crawford’s CNBC appearance to impress a potential buyer he was meeting with in
Boston. “Jerry’s interview could not have come at a more opportune moment,” said
Dick. “What a powerful way to make an impact on an international master
candidate. Our prospect was definitely impressed as he had been asking many of
the same questions regarding the Jani-King franchising system that the CNBC host
poised to Jerry.”

The 1-800 number at Jani-King’s corporate office also saw a heavy increase in
call volume following the interview. “Not five minutes after Mr. Crawford’s
interview aired on National TV, the leads began pouring in on the website at an
unprecedented rate,” said Denise Vicari, Executive Office Administrator of
Jani-King corporate. “Within 10 minutes we had as many lead requests as we
typically receive in an entire day. People were logging onto the website and
calling the corporate office to request information on owning their own
franchise at a rate of approximately 1 per minute. Nothing has so positively
affected the number of information requests received by the Corporate Leads Desk
since the implementation of our website.”
