Jani-King Tackles Professional and College Venues

There are few sporting facilities in the world that are as recognized as the
Louisiana Superdome and Texas Stadium.  With this in mind, Jani-King
International, the world’s largest commercial cleaning franchise company, and
multiple Jani-King regional offices have moved forward to secure the cleaning
contracts at these two iconic venues.  In addition, Jani-King regional offices
have also signed contracts to clean New Orleans Arena and the football stadium
located on the campus at the University of Oklahoma.

“This is an exciting time for Jani-King and our franchisees,” said Jerry
Crawford, President of Jani-King International.  “We have had great success
cleaning other NFL stadiums, now we not only have the opportunity to clean Texas
Stadium, the Superdome, New Orleans Arena and Oklahoma Memorial Stadium at Owen
Field, but we have negotiated contracts which allow us to promote our new
partnerships to gain additional business in all Jani-King regions.”

In each of the three newly formed partnerships, representatives from the
local Jani-King regional office and from Jani-King International worked together
to generate best outcome for all parties involved.  Jani-King has entered into
sponsorship agreements with each organization and is quickly creating marketing
materials that can be utilized by each region to sell additional contracts.

“There are certain usage restrictions under NFL guidelines regarding logos
and brands, so each contract was negotiated with all Jani-King regions in mind,
not just those regions located within that particular market,” according to
Robert Kindred, Director of Public Relations for Jani-King International.  “For
example, with the Dallas Cowboys we have negotiated rights as ‘The Official
Cleaning Company of Texas Stadium.’  By doing this we are able to promote the
relationship globally, not just locally.  We are also looking toward the future
with these sponsorships.  The Cowboys will be opening the world’s largest indoor
stadium in 2009 and will host the NFL Super Bowl in 2011.  We feel that we are
the right company to clean that venue and we’re proving ourselves now at the
current Texas Stadium.”

Stadium Facts
Texas
Stadium became one of the NFL’s most unique stadiums upon opening in 1971. The
stadium is partially domed — a hole in the center of the roof allows fans to
stay dry but leaves the field open to the elements outside. Over 65,000 blue
seats in two tiers extend around the gridiron. The stadium has many amenities
including 381 luxury suites and a stadium club where fans gather for parties and
banquets.

Sitting on 65 acres, the Superdome and New Orleans Arena have hosted six
Super Bowls, four NCAA Final Fours, The Nokia Sugar Bowl, Bayou Classic and a
staggering array of other events including a visit from Pope John Paul II in
1987. The Superdome was opened in 1975 and holds just over 72,000 fans at
maximum capacity. The facility has 137 private box suites, four 19,000 square
foot club rooms and over 100 restrooms.

By 1999, the 75-year-old Oklahoma Memorial Stadium was showing its age.
Except for the turf and lighting enhancements, no substantial upgrade of the
stadium had occurred since the press box was built 25 years earlier, in 1975. In
2002, every seat in the stadium was replaced and the north end zone scoreboard
was dismantled in preparation for replacement. Most importantly, a street
running east of the east stands was moved to allow for the construction of an
upper deck with club seating for 2,500 and 27 suites on the east side, which
increased the capacity of the stadium to its current figure of over 82,000.
