Jani-King International, the world’s largest commercial cleaning franchise,
recently signed a service agreement with Guthrie Public Schools in Guthrie, OK,
25 miles north of Oklahoma City. “Guthrie is a growing area of Oklahoma,” Gary
Doublin, Regional Director of Jani-King of Oklahoma City. “The city has been
going through a rebuilding and expansion period and every one of the schools are
at full capacity.”
Jani-King’s regional office in Oklahoma City is contracted to provide full
janitorial services at four of the six elementary schools, at the Junior High
School and High School and at an alternative school. Although this is the
largest educational account in Oklahoma, it’s not only school at which Jani-King
provides services. Jani-King of Oklahoma City has been cleaning local schools
and universities since the early 1990’s.
To manage the Guthrie account, a husband-wife franchise team was offered the
account to service. “This was the perfect fit for our franchise owners and
client,” said Doublin. “Our franchisees have extensive experience managing
large accounts and educational facilities and they live in Guthrie.”
Currently, Jani-King is providing limited services during the summer
including sanding and re-coating the wood floors in several of the gyms. When
the school year starts up in the Fall, the franchise owners plan to have 26
full-time employees including two lead employees — one for daytime and one for
nighttime cleaning.
