Jani-King, the nation’s largest commercial cleaning franchising company, again
secured high honors from Entrepreneur magazine in the publication’s
annual Franchise 500 list.
Despite the slow pace of the economy at the close of 2001, Jani-King
franchises continue to be a solid investment. The company walked off with high
rankings in nearly every category. Jani-King was ranked 10th on the magazine’s
Franchise 500 list, good for first place among commercial cleaning franchises.
The top-10 finish marks the fifth consecutive year that Jani-King ranked first
among maintenance franchises.
Jani-King has retained the ranking of the #1 Commercial Cleaning Franchisor
for the fifteenth year since 1986 as well as the #1 Low Investment Franchise.
The company also placed sixth among the fastest growing franchises for 2002.
With an additional 600 new franchisees opening doors in 2001, Jani-King now
represents nearly 8,500 franchises worldwide. Initial investment ranges between
$8,200 and $34,000.
“No matter how high we place or how often we appear in the rankings, it is
always an honor to be recognized,” said Jerry Crawford, president of Jani-King
International, Inc. “We are pleased that such a high ranking has become the
standard for Jani-King. For someone with some start-up capital and a willingness
to work hard, we offer tremendous opportunity to grow a business.”
The Entrepreneur Franchise 500 ranking is based on numerous factors, such as
growth rate, financial strength, and stability and size of the franchise system.
All of the criteria used are objective measures. Launched in 1980 and widely
imitated, the Entrepreneur ranking is the leading benchmark for franchises in
the U.S..
