Jani-King, the world’s largest commercial cleaning franchise company,  has partnered with Darrell and Michael Waltrip as presenting sponsor of the Fourth Annual Waltrip Brothers’ Charity Championship golf tournament, part of a two-day fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 23-24 in Franklin, Tenn.

The corporation’s sponsorship marks the popular golf tournament’s first presenting sponsorship in its fourth consecutive year. The Waltrip Brothers’ Charity Championship, consisting of the Oct. 23 Champion’s Dinner and the Oct. 24 tournament, benefits Feed The Children, Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) and Lipscomb University’s Charlie Daniels Scholarship for Heroes.

“No matter what kind of business you’re in, you need Jani-King franchisees to help keep everything clean,” Darrell Waltrip said of the golf tournament’s new presenting sponsor.  “I’m known as a bit of a clean freak, so this is right up my alley.  Heaven knows the crew we’ll have at the tournament from the NASCAR, music, sports and celebrity worlds could use a hand in the cleaning-up department! A huge tip of the hat to Jani-King for stepping up to the plate and helping us out on the links.”

Legendary country and Southern rock musician Charlie Daniels headlines the Champion’s Dinner at The Factory in Franklin, which kicks off the fundraiser and includes additional entertainment as well as a silent and live auction featuring autographed items from a variety of celebrities and sports icons.

The festivities wrap up Oct. 24 with the “no mulligan” Waltrip Brothers’ Charity Championship golf tournament presented by Jani-King at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin.  One of the state’s finest courses, the private facility features two championship courses co-designed by Hall of Fame golfer Tom Kite and renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp, as well as a 19-acre, state-of-the-art practice facility.

“Jani-King has a proud history in motorsports and a longstanding friendship with Darrell and Michael Waltrip,” said Mike Biggs, Director of Sports Partnerships for Jani-King International.  “We are honored to put that relationship to use in partnering with them to support three important causes.  Our hope is that our sponsorship will help this become their best fundraising year yet, and we’re pleased to combine motorsports with our other major national sports platform of golf as a partner of the PGA of America.”

“We’ve raised a ton of money the past three years for great causes, but bringing Jani-King on board this year will significantly help in this effort,” Michael Waltrip added.  “Their support will allow us to do even more and go a step farther in assisting these wonderful and worthy charities.”

Last year’s WBCC was the most successful to-date, raising $350,000 for MRO and Feed The Children. Several top names from the NASCAR, country music, sports and entertainment worlds annually lend their support through participation and donations of autographed items for auction.
