‘Tis the Season – Jani-King Regions Gives Back

Jani-King of Milwaukee
Jani-King of Milwaukee

For the 8th consecutive year, Jani-King of Milwaukee and Master Franchise Owner Jon McAlpine were generous contributors to the Milwaukee County Shop with a Cop foundation. Each year, Jani-King helps the organization make it possible for at-risk, inner city youth to partner with a police officer and shop for their family members at Christmas. This year’s program was able to support 75 children who not only received money to buy presents for their family, but they were also treated to a breakfast buffet at the Milwaukee Intercontinental Hotel.

Over the past eight years, the Shop with a Cop program has supported over 600 children and their families. In all, more than $100,000 has been raised from local community members and corporations with 100% of the money going directly to the shopping day.

In Omaha, NE the regional office and Master Franchise Owner Debbie Sinopoli continued their tradition of giving through the Make-A-Wish foundation. This is the third wish Sinopli has granted to a child and one of several charities she kindly supports.

“Some of the other charities we contribute to include Children’s Mercy Hospital, Promise 2 Kids, and Child Start, said Sinopoli. “Each year at our office Christmas party, with all employees from Jani-King Midwest, we collect money through a raffle to help support our charities. This year we earned enough to support four kids (ages 10-15), an elder lady with no family, and provided food and beds to a no-kill animal shelter. We, as a Jani-King Midwest family, take pride in knowing that we contribute to charities throughout the year and especially around the holidays! It’s a great feeling knowing that you are giving back to the communities we live in not just around the holidays but all year long.”

Thank you to all regions that participated in giving back to their local communities in December. We know many Jani-King regions not only donate to their local charities during the Holiday season but all throughout the year.
